Production Scheduler

Job Overview:
The Production Scheduler will create, manage and maintain an integrated master production schedule that satisfies customer demand while leveling work to manufacturing, optimizing inventory levels and resource utilization.

Responsibilities:
o Provide daily/weekly analysis and metrics for capacity & planning impact, understand and communicate production constraints and provide alternate solutions to achieve On Time Delivery objectives
o Perform independent schedule risk assessments and mitigation planning, facilitate the resolution of resource constraints and other existing or potential schedule interruptions
o Align requirements with manufacturing capabilities and capacity
o Communicate Manufacturing delivery commitments to Program Management
o Participate in establishing and implementing lean material strategies
o Provide education and training throughout the facility with the goal of improving understanding of on-time delivery and production flow
o Communicate with production, sales, and supply chain teams. Respond to and keep each informed of potential problems and opportunities related to forecasted and non-forecasted orders and recommend alternatives
o Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
o BS/BA degree in Business, Finance, Logistics, Operations Material Management desired
o 5 years related or a minimum 6 years working in a manufacturing environment with hands on responsibility in Materials Management, Production Control, Capacity Planning, MRP and Scheduling related functions
o Experience with Lean manufacturing techniques in production and planning desired. Direct experience using Kanban and supermarket processes
o Prior master scheduling experience and working knowledge in a manufacturing environment and demand management techniques is required; emphasis on multi-level product structures with complex timing and offsets
o Strong leadership skills to aid with motivating the team to focus on the right things
o Solid analytical skills in forecasting and anticipating production needs and capabilities
o SAP experience required, well versed in the use of MRP/ERP systems (MM/PP modules)
o Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o APICS Certification and Six Sigma certification a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
