For this exciting Project Engineer opportunity located in the Newark, CA Bay area (occasional work from home OK), the ideal candidate will be highly skilled in the pre-sales design and subsequent project team implementation of audio visual and information technology integrated video conferencing, telepresence, Video Wall and business data delivery solutions.
CTS or CTS-D certification is a nice to have. DMC-D highly desired not required.
Position
Responsibilities:
The Audio Visual Project Design Engineer will be responsible for reviewing site surveys, designing customer solutions based on requirements, estimating, and producing documentation suitable for sales presentations and system installation, and control system programming scopes.
Perform as a Sales Engineer in support of the sales teams as needed (50%).
Perform as the lead project engineer during implementation (50%).
Create construction and system integration documents (CAD Drawings, Blue Prints and CSI Specifications)
Communicate and coordinate technical design solutions with clients, installation teams and vendors
Provide sales and technical staff with high end technical support on both a pre- and post-sales basis including attending project meetings.
Knowledge of Crestron and AMX control system implementation, commissioning and testing. Knowledge fo Crestron programming nice to have.
Contributing to design review and code review as required.
Develop and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies that company offers.
Required Experience and
Qualifications:
At least 6-8 years of overall AV commercial solution industry experience.
At least 3 years of recent experience as a hands on AV/IT Project Design Engineer.
Experience designing AV/IT integrated solutions including Video Conferencing, Telepresence, Video Walls, Control Rooms and related data network, database, big data, data warehouse and business intelligence components.
A proven track record in AV systems engineering and control systems commissioning
Ability to write a scope of work and finalize a system deployment and build-out.
AutoCAD or StarDraw experience
Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with other people.
Education and Certifications
Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
CTS Certification with CTS-D highly desired
DMC-D certification highly desired not required.
