Quality Control Inspector -1st Shift

Job Purpose:
Sanmina is looking for detail oriented and dedicated Quality Inspector for our second shift in our Fremont, CA location. In this role, you will be responsible for determining product acceptance both in-process and at final assembly by inspecting parts per customer drawings and workmanship standards. You will make use of monitoring and measurement devices, as well as perform visual inspection. You will document and submit the results of inspection and testing activities in both paper and electronic systems. You will determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures for quality inspection and control. Nature of Duties/Responsibilities Perform inspections to determine the quality of both metal components and electromechanical assemblies, visually and dimensionally, based upon internal and customer supplied workmanship standards and drawing specifications. Areas of inspection will include primarily machining, sheet metal fabrication, paint and weld, but may extend to clean room and final assembly inspection. Perform receiving inspection on incoming purchased components and raw materials. Determine and assist in developing methods and procedures for quality inspection and control. Apply final labels or markings as required to demonstrate product acceptance. Document and communicate any non-conformances identified during inspection activities. Perform calibration audits and support internal calibration activities Complete daily reports of inspection activities. Visual acuity and manual dexterity required. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs. Salary Range (annual):
$58,240 - $64,480 Education and Experience Qualifications High School Diploma or college courses. Minimum of 4-6 years of quality assurance experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment. Experience as a CMM operator a plus. Experience with weld inspection a plus. Must have knowledge of GD&T drawings consistent with the latest revisions of the ASME standards. Experience reading and interpreting Bill of Materials (BOM), workmanship standards and customer engineering specifications Experience with basic inspection equipment and measurement such as, but not limited to bore gauge, caliper, micrometer, pin gauges, etc. Competent in word processing, spreadsheets, and data analysis. Effective oral and written communication skills. Must be flexible in regards to overtime availability and work with minimal supervision. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
